The iconic Portuguese forward is renowned for many things, with an unerring ability to find the back of the net perhaps  the most impressive weapon in a remarkable arsenal . Having plundered 450 goals in just 437 appearances for Madrid, the 33-year-old has established his own unique way of acknowledging those achievements.

Arsenal to hold talks with Thierry Henry for managerial position

By Ifreke Inyang The Gunners hierarchy has spoken to former midfielder, Patrick Vieira and also want to listen to Henry, before formally announcing the identity of the new man. Henry is currently the assistant boss of Belgium and also works for Sky Sports as a pundit. The 40-year-old has no managerial experience, but has stated previously he would like to manage his old club. Arsenal will speak to Thierry Henry about their vacant managerial position, before confirming the successor to Arsene Wenger, the UK Mail reports. Mikel Arteta remains the preferred candidate of chief executive Ivan Gazidis and director Josh Kroenke and it is likely that he will be appointed as Wenger’s replacement. However, it is understood that there are also plans to talk to Henry early next week, as the club complete what has been a thorough recruitment process.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that  Arsenal  “stagnated” towards the end of Arsene Wenger’s reign, with all concerned now looking forward to a fresh start under Unai Emery. After 22 years of stability and continuity in north London, the managerial baton at Emirates Stadium has changed hands this summer. Former Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain boss  Emery has been appointed as Wenger’s successor and charged with the task of returning Arsenal to the Champions League  and getting them back on the trophy trail.

EPL: Chelsea legend, Cascarino advises Unai Emery to offload Iwobi, Ozil, 7 other Arsenal players

Former Chelsea star, Tony Cascarino has advised newly appointed Arsenal manager, Unai Emery to get rid of forward, Alex Iwobi and seven other Gunners’ players from the club. Cascarino believes Iwobi will never be rated among top-four Arsenal’s best players. Iwobi, who is currently with the Super Eagles squad in preparation for their 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, has scored 3 goals and provided 7 assists in 39 games for the North London club this season. “I don’t think he will ever be a top-four player, which is what Arsenal need,” Cascarino told TheTimes.co.uk regarding Iwobi. The other six players Cascarino wants Emery to show the exit at the club are “Hector Bellerin, Petr Cech, Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Calum Chambers, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil.”   Don Silas
